Summary

At Stevns Klint, you encounter a giant slice of the world. The white cliff face towers above you, with a thin, dark line running horizontally across it. It’s a layer of clay that clearly divides what was from what came after.

At first glance, it looks like a curious natural phenomenon, but in reality, it’s the materialisation of a defining moment in Earth’s history. The layer marks the spot where one world ended, and a new one began. It’s a layer of time, collision, and change. And, it tells the stories of how that change lives on in the landscape today. Stevns Klint is stories written in stone.

Our role is to translate them and make them tangible, present, and relevant to the time we live in now. The visual language should help open up the site, unfold its history, and create a framework for a form of communication that can inspire, move, and, at times, challenge, with respect for all that the place holds.

Stevns Klint is part of our shared heritage, and it calls for curiosity, reflection, and care.
