Globalizing Scandinavian early childhood education

Global education platform
Dibber is on a mission to revolutionize early childhood education and impact at least 250,000 children and teachers worldwide. Rooted in Scandinavian pedagogy, they aim to nurture lifelong learners who care about the world.

Dibber offers Early Childhood Development services with the goal of ensuring every child feels valued and reaches their full potential. They manage over 600 Early Childhood Education Centers across 10 countries, serving more than 40,000 children daily.

Our task
Our objective was to help Dibber expand into the global market, particularly in Asia, while maintaining its Norwegian heritage. At the heart of Dibber is a pedagogy developed by founders Randi and Hans Jacob, both pedagogists in childhood education.

Finding the narrative
Through a cohesive brand and business strategy, we mapped out the diverse cultures, needs, and roles of different childcare centers. Before repositioning the brand, we needed to understand the significant differences among various countries.

Aligned with Dibber’s vision of creating individualized learning environments for all children, our strategic challenge was to craft a narrative and identity that resonated with parents worldwide, both emotionally and practically.

Building the system
We simplified the graphics and focused on the core message. While emphasizing the integration of play and learning, the brand needed to appear professional and trustworthy, while also capturing the warmth, playfulness, and passion of the staff, owners, and leadership.

The design system allowed us to use universal graphic elements that everyone could understand, while covering the breadth of learning offerings. Based on the idea that Dibber develops lifelong learners with a heart for the world, the shapes could function on both functional and emotional levels, effectively communicating the brand’s ethos.

Our objective was to help Dibber expand into the global market, particularly in Asia, while maintaining its Norwegian heritage.

Through the design concept: “The Learning Journeys of Lifelong Learners,” we built the core of the graphical shapes representing the learning journey from a child-centered perspective.

The Dibber App allows both parents and staff to engage on a whole different level.
